Study Permit

Home 9 I want to Study 9 Study Permit

Congratulations On Being Accepted Into Your Program Of Choice!

Now comes the next step; applying for a study permit which requires a robust and thoughtful application. The officer assessing your study permit application looks at many factors before deciding the fate of your application. In fact, based on the nature of the application being a temporary residency one, the success of this type of application can be more challenging. This is because a study permit is also based on subjective analysis, where you must prove to the visa officer that you are a bonafide student and have a genuine need to pursue further education in Canada while also meeting the requirements of a temporary resident visa (TRV)

A study permit is a document that allows you to study in Canada. It is not the same as a TRV/eTA, which allows you to travel to Canada. When your application for a study permit is approved, the visa officer will issue you a TRV/eTA allowing you to travel to Canada and on arrival, an officer will issue a study permit, allowing you to study in Canada. Sometimes, an officer may indicate certain conditions on your study permit. You must abide by the restrictions on your study permit.
