Federal skilled worker (FSW) program:

FSW is one of the three programs administered under the express entry system and is ideal for highly skilled individuals. Under the FSW program, you are assessed under two scoring categories: Selection factor points and comprehensive ranking system points.

Under the selection factor requirements, you must score a minimum of 67 points out of a maximum of 100 points.

Minimum requirements to be eligible under federal skilled worker program

This program requires that you must meet the minimum score of 67/100 in the selection factors in addition to meeting the minimum requirements for this program as below:

  • Proof of language proficiency through an approved test. NOC 0, A, B = CLB 7
  • One year of continuous work experience in the last 10 years before applying (NOC 0, A, B)
  • Minimum secondary/high school education (higher education qualification provides a boost in selection factors and CRS score)
  • Proof of funds is required unless you have a genuine job offer from a Canadian employer.
